Venom Power Tyres

Venom Power Tyres ARE EPIC

At Bad Offroad, we don’t just sell tyres — we test them, push them, abuse them and find their limits long before a customer ever mounts a set on their rig. If a tyre can’t survive our style of driving, the tracks we use, or the conditions we face here in New Zealand, it won’t make it into our lineup.

So when the latest Venom Power M/T and R/T tyres landed in our workshop, we knew exactly what to do: take them straight to the bush, the mud, and the worst the East Tāmaki testing grounds could throw at them.

The results?

Venom Power didn’t just perform — they dominated.

First Impressions: Aggressive Design with Purpose

Venom Power tyres don’t pretend to be something they’re not. One look at the tread pattern and you understand the intention: traction, bite and self-cleaning performance.

The lugs are deep and well-spaced, the sidewall aggression is real, and the tyre feels solid in the hand — no flimsy rubber, no shortcuts.

But great design means nothing until the rubber hits the dirt.

On the Track: Mud, Ruts, Clay and Climb Tests

We ran the tyres through our standard Bad Offroad testing loop:

Mud Test

Deep clay ruts and slick mud pits — the kind that expose weak tyres instantly.

The Venom M/Ts cut through without hesitation.

Where other tyres spin, the Venoms bite.

Where others clog, the self-cleaning tread throws mud instantly.

Climb Test

Loose rock and dug-out climbs are usually where cheaper tyres struggle.

The Venom R/T surprised us: even under throttle, they held their line with controlled grip and minimal slip.

Sidewall Strength

We side-loaded the tyres on off-camber tracks and tight maneuvers.

They flexed exactly as they should — strong, confidence-building, with no signs of stress.

Not once did we worry about puncturing or rolling a bead.

Road Manners

Off-road ability is pointless if the on-road drive is miserable.

Venom Power actually runs quieter than expected for this level of aggression.

Steering feel is stable, braking is predictable, and you can daily-drive them without regret.

Real-World Reliability: Built for NZ Conditions

New Zealand terrain is unforgiving — from wet clay to volcanic rock to sharp riverbeds.

Venom Power feels like it was designed with this country in mind.

The tyres amazed us at:

  • Woodhill
  • Bog holes
  • SF70
  • Wet Tar

All without losing composure.

This is the exact reason Bad Offroad partnered with Venom Power for distribution.

We won’t put our name behind anything that doesn’t prove itself in the real world.

Value for Money: Serious Performance Without the Prestige Price

Here’s the kicker:

You’re getting premium performance without paying the premium price tag.

Venom Power delivers:

  • Very strong off-road traction
  • Great on-road behaviour
  • Outstanding durability
  • Aggressive looks
  • Excellent self-cleaning
  • Robust sidewall protection

All at a price that can beat most major brands in the same category.

For anyone building a capable daily/off-roader, Venom Power hits the sweet spot.

Final Verdict: Venom Power Has Earned Its Place

After putting them through everything we could throw at them, the conclusion is simple:

Venom Power tyres perform far better than their price point suggests — and they’re absolutely worthy of the Bad Offroad stamp of approval.

If you want:

  • Real off-road capability
  • Confidence in tough NZ terrain
  • A tyre that works hard and looks the part
  • Without blowing the budget

Then Venom Power is a serious contender for your next upgrade.
